Security is increasing?

Does anybody notice that security has increased? I live around NYC and over the last week i have noticed that police presence and added patrols and all over the place. One thing is that ever since 9/11 no trucks are allowed on the lower level of the George Washington Bridge. Just this week they have add the electronic signs and I have noticed when ever i go in to the city Vans are being stopped as well. Just wanted to see what ATS posters think about this and has anyone noticed this in or around there homes.

it could be bc the anniversary date is coming up again. there is always increased security around the holiday times ad new years. when i was in the AF security would always increase on holiday times, and now unfortunately bc of past events we have to increase security on holiday times in the civilian population.
