defensenews.com...

India has floated its biggest ever global request for proposal (RfP), a $10 billion program to buy 126 Medium Multirole Combat Aircraft (MMRCA), while increasing offset requirements from 30 percent to 50 percent. The RfP has been issued for the Eurofighter Typhoon, France’s Rafale, Russia’s MiG-35, Sweden’s Jas-39 Gripen, and the U.S.-built F-16 and F/A-18 Super Hornet.

notice the increase in offset

IMO that and the technology transfer requirement will knock out both of the american aircraft , the gripen is too small (IMO) and the typhoon they want to build in europe - although shipping it in kit form could be possible.

rafale? it might happen and is a good plane BUT the front runner - the Super Fulcrum , has my money - especially since the IAF have allready flown it and recently

Aahh but local hearsay has it that the Americans are making good ground; filling minds with tech info or pockets with $$; who knows!!

Everybody does it.
