Taliban: '$20m Paid For Hostages'

news.sky.com

A senior member of the Taliban claims South Korea has paid $20m to release 19 missionaries they were holding hostage.

"We got more than $20m from them (the Seoul government)," a commander said.

"With it we will purchase arms, get our communication network renewed and buy vehicles for carrying out more suicide attacks."

Although the South Korean Government is denying it ,the end of this hostage drama seems to indicate a high price was paid to the terrorists.

Then again the ransom reports may be part of a campaign to discredit the Taliban.
