Funny, I just casehd a check at a bank and got some crisp new fifties that were stamped with some sort of chinese ( I think) symbols.

I'll try to take pic's tonight and post them.

I just did a tour of the Bureau of Printing and Engraving in DC on Tuesday morning. For what it's worth, they claim currency is only printed in DC and Fort Worth, TX. Pretty cool tour, actually. We saw $320,000 full of 1$ bills, and skids of $100's totally $32,000,000.

95% of the bills printed replace old money that is burned by the Federal Reserve, and 5% goes in as new money.

I doubt the Chinese are printing our money at our request. Counterfeiting it would be another story.

You think its outsourcing, but in reality, China is printing sub-par versions of our own currency, and I even hers that there is lead in the paper. You can only find these bills at Wal Mart/

In all seriousness, I can never see our government outsourcing anything that has to do with the creation of currency. Not plausible at all.
