In the American Home case, Partow, 41, of Chugiak, helped a client refinance his home in 2006. Even though the client provided accurate information about his income, Partow listed the income as $20,000 per month - "an amount that significantly overstated [the client's] true income," according to Partow's plea agreement.

In the mortgage industry we have stated loans. these loans STATE how much the borrower makes, but the borrower doesn't have to show any proof of that. Most loans are stated because the client typically does not make enough money to qualify for the loan. I specifically remember a loan in my old company where we stated a House Cleaner made $8,000 a month. In reality she only made about $24,000 a year. I was personally not involved in that loan if any government agency is reading this!!
