I read on another thread, about 100 miles away from Yellowstone they are reinforcing all the bridge pilings with concrete, even the ones just completed so they can wistand the rush of water coming down the rivers and creeks.

Anyone out there hear or read anything about this?

It is very unlikely. All active features are related to faults and hot water (hydrothermal) vents. Identified craters were formed by collapse or as a result of old hydrothermal explosions. Many of the rocks beneath the lake are lava flows more than 100,000 years old.
