I'll second that.
That's one football tournament i'd be glad to see us lose.
Just make sure McLaren was managing our team and I doubt it would be a problem.

Out first round. UK troops first one's home. Sounds good.

Lol! Great call mate, McClown is footballs answer to Bush

This would have been even funnier if they had given them Nike Air shoes to kick them with. You know... the ones a bunch of retards were freaking out about because the word AIR kinda looked like Allah.

I think they should use these balls to have a soccer tournament. Shiites, Kurds, US...every secular group you can find..fight it out for Iraq. The winner gets the right to Iraq. Seems more reasonable and civilized than whats happening now.

Not gonna happen. Nike Air shoes are too expensive for them to simply airdrop from helicopters

We spoke about this yesterday in my Business Law class, and we had a good laugh about it. No one from the manufacturer to the PR guys who thought of this idea bothered to translate what the Arabic flag said, before they placed it on the soccer balls.

This is very offensive to Muslims. It would be like a foreign company making soccer balls for US kids with the quotes from the constitution written on it.

If your read Arabic, you would know that "kinda" is an understatement. It does say "Allah" in Arabic

i disagree, i don't think there is anything we can put on a soccerball and it would get a reaction. I mean, we burn the U.S. flag and it is just peachy with everyone, what the heck do we hold sacred that it would anger us to get kicked around?...i've seen cow dung statues of Mother Mary, urinating Jesus, it goes on and on, take a look at southpark for heavens sake!
WHAT will offend us enough to blow our selves up????

Nike Air shoes

Personally...I dont see it. Unless I got the wrong image of the word Allah.

I hope this discussion doesnt get to far off the main topic.

I dont think so, if it had quotes from the constitution, they might actually learn something. Kicking a ball in a fun, game like manner has no bearing on things printed there of...unless you take life waaaaay to seriously. Infact, I would buy a "constitution" ball any day of the week and kick it into peoples faces...maybe it will rub off on them.

WOW! Which one's which?! I can't tell!

... and this was in '98 that they were whining about the logo. And today they're moaning about a bunch of footballs or soccer balls? They should be thankful it was just sports equipment being dropped on them. Idiots.
