I too live in Central Florida and would be willing to drive, photograph, video this area you are talking about in the sheer interest of learning more
(if there is more to learn).
You just gotta give us more info to go on. Can you get a hold of your friends to see if they can help?

Stay the hell away from that area, there is a reason that area is not developed, the area in question is near the small town of chicora (the
southeastern most part of hillsborough county) I used to live there, I have friends still in the area. I drove straight up the road in question when i
was still in the military, I had a very high security clearance level and that saved my ass ( TOP SECRET CRYPTO) I was warned about sightseeing and
losing my clearance. but I will say this and you can take or leave it ( I myself, my closest friend and my brother who was also a Marine, have
witnessed on several occasions the large black triangle ascending from that very area. it is real and I have heard it in silent mode and in a
sickening "vibrating" mode. coincedentaly this area is in between Macdill AFB and the Avon Park bombing range. My advise is to stay in wimauma and
leave that area to the military and the meth heads

wannaflyboy, when you get a chance, give us some coordinates or something so we can see where on the map this event occurred.
I created a previous post where I drove to Area 51 and Rachel, NV. I was hoping to see some planes flying about for Red Flag. Sadly, the Red Flag
was only performing night missions.
But the coolest part was finding a sensor box disguised as a rock on top of a hill. Check out this post for pictures:
Sensor Box Disguised as rock
If any one is familiar with equipment like this, please feel free to post it on my forum. Information is key.

I have lived in Ft Lonesome for 40 years and still do. Just came across this topic thread. The only thing even close to what you are descfribing is a
weather radar center / airplane radar facility out here. Name a specific road, and I will tell you whats there.

DMJ.... While I am not thrilled with you demanding instead of asking for the coordinates, I researched it anyway; for the benefit of others. I could
not find the site on google earth nor on google maps. It may be that they removed the facility for mining purposes. I used to be able to see it from
the road, I havent paid close attention to it in recent years. However, It was huge. It was way out in the woods, you could only see it from a
distance, barley towering above the trees. I am going to try and post a picture of it. Like I said, it was a weather radar / airplane beacon. I will
look for it this weekend from the road. If it is still there, I will try to figure out how to get to it and provide some coordinates. I did read that
it was protected by the military. Something to do with NORAD.
