WITH just a week until the APEC summit, police today arrested five men over an alleged plot to make bombs to blow up ATMS and bank safes across Sydney.

Wow, this is amazing.

Could they have been planning to blow up these safes during the APEC summit. Seems the media are making a link.

Is this because there would be a lower police presence?
I dont think its great planning. I mean exploding bombs during the APEC summit, come on!.
Wouldnt this be seen or mistaken as an act of terriorism, and the Black Hawks etc would be chasing any get away with possible orders to engage any escape vechile. KaBoom!

I also noticed in the article that some of the men arrested had middle eastern names. "Fadi Bassil, Badawi Nassour and Elias Taouk"
Could the ATM plan be a cover up by the authorities, or even fake plans masking the bombers real agenda?
