Sorry if this has already been posted. Just came across it today.

this is indeed old news. it's fascinating though. i read that it has something to do with the rotation. similar shapes can be replicated in labs with spinning fluids.

I apologize, It had just appeared as news on ( space.com) that I visit regularly. I didnt think that they would be that far behind.

With all the searching and digging members do here on these forums. Its difficult to break something new to the forums that has not already been posted. *shrug*
