Ok, Smart, observant people- What is this?

I have tried to figure this out but cannot. I guess I'm not that smart. A co-worker started the question through an email @ work and it is driving me nuts!

I thought some of the brilliant minds here might have some idea!

It's an mp3, 3 second file. I think it is something in a bathroom maybe.?

Its someone diving off of a diving board.... I think, kind of sounds like it, but I dont hear any splash

Interesting. Well there is a spring involved - almost like something is being pulled back and release and there is some residual "spring" action involved. hmmmm... i can't place my finger on it. Perhaps something like the ball hammer on a pin ball machine.

I guess, billiard ball return.
The ball is sunk, the rolls to the return slot, and drops in..

I think it's a noise.

But I can't be certain...

I'm with the last post. It's definitely a sound of some sort. lol

It's this sort of office competition right now.

Ok, I have two suggestions.


1. It's a door being opened really hard and hitting against one of those spring door
stops and than hitting the wall.

2. It's a cabinet being opened that has an automatic closing system that is spring loaded.

Someone jumping off a diving board?

I hear a tiny noise before the spring board sound, as though somebody jumped into the air. Then they hit the board coming down sound, then the springloaded sound after they bounce/dive. The splash sound is cut off.
