14 US soldiers die in helicopter crash

BAGHDAD - A helicopter crashed in northern Iraq on Wednesday, killing all 14 U.S. soldiers aboard, the military said.

The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was carrying four crew members and 10 passengers when it went down during a nighttime operation, according to a statement.

Another helicopter crash in Iraq, this time with numerous casualties. Official statement - cause of crash is mechanical failure, but investigation is still pending. Is anybody keeping count how many helicopters had US lost in Iraq this year? Seem way off average statistics.
