WASHINGTON — Researchers have figured out how to give an entire community a drug test using just a teaspoon of wastewater from a city's sewer plant.

Oregon State University scientists tested 10 unnamed American cities for remnants of drugs, both legal and illegal, from wastewater streams. They were able to show that they could get a good snapshot of what people are taking.

The article states that the Office of National Drug Control Policy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are both interested in this.

So now what? The community must submit to an aggregate urinalysis? I didn't consent to this!
I want to find out what cities this was done in...

Kinda creepy to think that people are testing the waste water to further enhance demographic charts. What's next? Scouring the trash for genetic material to figure out where everyone is and what they throw away? Sheesh.
