White House press secretary Tony Snow will step down from his position as early as next month, sources inside and outside the Bush administration told CNN on Friday.

This is not a surprise to me.
Although finances are the reason given, I cannot imagine that Mr Snow's health issues are not a concern.
Chemotherapy is a drain physically and probably mentally, and I don't see how he can keep up the pace the job must require.
