Just noticed this after replying to a thread a short while ago. I like the idea, except in instances where you are replying to more than one post at once.

Maybe a replyto button could be added to the thread reply page so when you're finished reponding to one post you hit the button and enter the new post number you are replying to and automatically get the header.

Am i making sense. It does in my head.

Thanks for the new feature Bill

This will be handy.

I often click "quote" and trim it down just so people know who I'm responding to. This will defiantly make threads easier to read.

Interesting. I wonder if this is what I saw earlier.

Edit: definitely is. I prefer quotes. Got enough tabs open in firefox as it is normally anyway.

Love it

I'm sure this will get well used over in the 9/11 forums

This is definitely a great feature... It will help make the site more readable I think

The readability of threads, fast moving ones in particular, has just sky rocketed. Excellent addition Bill!

Well, I just had to try this out. New toys and all that.

I think this might really speed things along on the threads. Still, in a long post, where a person was replying to a specific point that was brought up, the quote box works better, IMO.

All in all, glad for the addition, but please don't get rid of "quote" as a tool.

I still think its a good feature. Unless your replying to more than one post.

Nobody commented on my ReplyTo: button in the post reply page. I think it will help.

I must be some sort of maniacal mentalist!

I'm normally too lazy to scroll down and click the "Reply" button at the bottom of the page... I normally just click "reply" on the closest person's thread I can find. Oh well, it's only one highlight and backspace extra work
