The United States is screwed the majority of the people don’t believe the government was behind 9/11. The citizens of this country have not been taught history and are doomed to repeat it. Even when they see the truth they say it is a lie, call it speculative or biased while most of the American Media news is just that. If they are told Goldstein is behind terrorism they will not question it.

I think it's plain obvious that the rest of the world Vs American, the outcome is obvious to see America would be crushed. Even though most of the Eastern Countries would be none-excistant.

The Current relation between the US And the UK is good in Government Relation terms, But quite a bit of resistance. The UK has basically become part of America in a sense. America has taken over the world not by Military force but by their econmany, Take McDonalds and Coke they are everywhere (in many eastern countries) and Coke name is known everywhere, And i am trying to be indepedent here but some people really don't like it, They see the Americas as walking in and just taking control.

I am unsure what the react would be to America revolting, Weither the UN might come in and "calm things down" or Governments might side with the Oppressing US Government, I am unsure. I'm sure by not many people will read this but anyho.

The main reason why America is being attack is because they argored the "terrorists" in the first place. The angor just excells (like in Israel) One Attack is followed by another funded by revenge, it's not the way to move forward. What is Evil and terrorism anyway? Is it Bin Laden? The Western world is the terrorists to them.

The world is entaggle with itself, One thing i have to say, the world is very twisted.

My problem with all this newfound gripe over invasion of privacy and rights is that while the previous administration was attempting to disarm the country, no one gave a damn. The ATF and FBI ran this operation with much more a storm trooper mentality than we see now. So now, after 9-11 after we have proof that the terror cells which,until now, had been left unchecked, are under the gun...why now when its they who are the target of the US intel machine, are we to get so pissed? Its nothing different than what has gone on for the last decade only directed at a real threat to America. I know you're going to hand me the whole McVey thing but seriously, the guy was a lily white for the same group that hit the trade center. They have been the enemy all along and I just hope it doesn't take a piece of falling debris in the face to knock that notion into all you.

I agree for the most part with you, these laws are good. I like them. I like that the terrorists are being purged.

Have these same sort of people, same sort of groups, with the same direction, controlling the leaders of America. Controlling how thigns are to be done. Does America have a much better chance of success now that it is the only Superpower left in the world?

I know what you are talking about but these troops are just training - and they are cycled through when their classes are done.

For Example:
I was at Holloman AFB back in september and there were 5 or 600 German Air Force personnel there along with support, etc.
I think there are maybe 30, possibly 40 Tornado fighter jets there. In the week I was there the German aviators were polite, very good students and very punctual and perhaps most important ... unarmed.

Training such as this is done all over the US, it's not a big deal. Actually it is a big deal - it's important that US allies who could be in any potential conflict be on the same page as their US counterparts. Tactically, engagement strategies, policies and procedures, etc...

As you've no doubt noticed the US has a bad habit of unwittingly engaging their allies. The Canadians and Brits know of this all too well... (maybe one of the reasons Canada sat out of the Iraq conflict and the Brits said they'd take southern Iraq and the US could handle everything else). So joint training such as this is seen as important for this reason as well as good diplomatically.

Now when I go onto the internet and do a search for Holloman AFB and foriegn troops - you get all kinds of conspiracy theory stuff that is simply absurd to one who has been there. In fact it borders on nationalistic racism.

As far as the UN being a force that would take the US over? In most UN sanctioned conflicts in it's history the US was the force behind the UN.

There's another thread here on ATS concerning 200,000 chinese troops on our border in Mexico... that's a bunch of poopy too... there is a chinese listening post on the border down there and there are a few dozen support perosnnel. It's amazing how the rumour mill churns up big conspiracies out of small mildly significant things.

Anyway, maybe I've got my proverbial head in a hole hiding from trouble like the ostrich or emu but this is just not reality.

One time during the foot and month incident in the UK, Some Army Regiments went to the US and used their training grounds. And as far as i was aware the US all too welcome us.

Most of the UK really didn't want to go into the Iraq Conflict anyway. Tony Blair isn't really favour at all even in his own party with other internal issues like University top up fees (Sorry going off topic a bit..)

And that's exactly what happened in and With Germany too.
They declared other countries were harbouring terrorists and invaded them on false pretenses.

If any of you havn't seen DavidIckes 2.5 video on the Sept 11 and the road to tyranny, and things like this...i suggest you watch it. Things like 70% of Americans think that Osama bin Laden has been captured. Ridiculous things like that.

I'm Australian. But i sure as hell think I'm at least 10 times as knowledgable as your average American. Actually probably more. Just from reading all the surveys taken in your country.

I don't live in US, I am British.

The media has done a good job of making us stupid. Queer eye for the straight guy, Simple Life, basically all reality TV. Spoon feed propaganda on a daily basis, shouting commentary on television considered non-bias good news source. A whole media industry that is owned by only 5 different corporations and taken as gospel, rarely questioned. Entertainers considered intelligent, not to mention valued for their opinions when they are really no better then your common whore. Little to no value given to literature, if you can get the cliff notes or watch the movie then why read it attitude. It’s not my problem plagues us, along with not in my back yard. Oh yea I forgot the big one everyone thinks they are going to be rich syndrome, what you mean that requires work?
