Was Hitler following orders from someone above him? People above him? Creating a super power inthe middle of Europe and then seizing control of Europe, only to be stopped and destroyed. Was Germany not strong enough back then?

Have these same sort of people, same sort of groups, with the same direction, controlling the leaders of America. Controlling how thigns are to be done. Does America have a much better chance of success now that it is the only Superpower left in the world?

also, i personally dont think that it will take another organized attack on US soil to enact a marshall law....
it only takes the preception of a willfully destructive enemy...that can cause that action to be implemented.

The problem with a totalatarian US or Red America is...

That Americans are prone to rebelion throughout its history and to overtly control the US without the people's concent is such a burdon that this theoretical tyrant wouldnt be able to keep contol for long. My theory is that only you can control the US through election or covertly, which covertly you need to have hundreds of years of influence to realy control us.

The thing is that America is in control by the Powerful Elite. The people behind the scenes controlling Bush, controlling the political parties. It matters not what party you vote for, nor what person. the elitist influence over these figures will keep control. IF something starts not going their way, they will simply make another threat pop up, such as by a terrorist attack and then blame it on someone or some country, take more rights from the civilians, and turn the USA into more of an Country prepared to go dto war, more forces will be gathered via military service act, or whatever.

If you cannot see all the biils, acts, being signed in secrecy, being pessed without major or hardly any word in the mainstream news, then you are a fool.

Rebel? Who will be left to rebel once the US becomes a police state? It will just be like in Germany back when hitler came to power. A POLICE STATE. Those that are rebelious will be put into jail, concentration camps, whatever. You must realise that once martial law is initiated. Once the US becomes a police state, you as a citizen have no rights. Those that rebel and fight back are either killed or taken away and locked up without review.

A typical view of what America is to become is what happened in Germany when Hitlet came to power.

When a citizens rights get flushed down the toilet, one must act straight away or more get taken away. American Citizens rights are being taken away from them left right and centre.

Your talking about the Patriot Act? Congress did that, not the PD, Feds or Military. Pat Act is a good idea to a point. I like it for the most part. Yes theres things that the political scientists (oxymoran?) in DC should of put in as a safe guard.

i'm not talking about the Patriot act. Yes that's one act. But over the last few months i've read of all these bills, act which invade ur privacy, say goodbye ur ur constitutional rights, losing ur amendments, etc.

These acts are needed for defence of our nation, I rather to have more freedoms but I dont want a 9/11 again! Im not suggesting a police state but for the most part I dont see whats wrong with some of these proposals (indeed there are some that I absolutly disagree with).

One thing that comes to mind here is that the populace of the US is armed to the teeth. The average rural farmer is probably better armed in fact than most police forces. And the inner-city? lots of automatic weapons in that urban environment...
