Web Download and Record with Realplayer Beta

I have always had a problem downloading from Youtube, mainly as there isn't a download button to make things simple.

I recently downloaded Realplayer beta, and found that once integrated into the windows shell (not sure if thats how you term it) it gives you the option to download what previously appeared not to be downloadable.

Am I just slow to catch on, or is this new?

Edit: I have just noticed they are FLV files (flash video) which seem to play fine.
