Well, I really don't understand what Boinc and Seti is about. Ok I got Boinc, and installed it, then I had to leave it on, it keeps taking spaces in
my HDD, that's it, it doesn't do anything except taking memories from my system. So what's up with it?

I don't think you are being hijacked. At the same time you were posting ATS froze up for me too. Maybe that was the problem.

BOINC = A Software platform for distributed computing
SETI = One of the project you can register and run in Boinc.
You have to add the project you like to run in the Boinc software and asign calculation time. Then it downloads packages calculates them and uploads
the result.
More I don't know anymore ..it's a time back I run boinc on my PC's.

Well, BOINC is nothing but a screensaver that saves the analyzed information on the HDD that when it gets done analyzing it, it sends it to SETI.
Problem is that BOINC takes up alot of CPU speed and RAM. You really have to keep on getting more RAM to support your activities and the BOINC
infrastructure.
I think I will get BOINC back on my PC and just leave it on analyzing the spectrum and just have fun looking at it.
