this interview from April 15th, 1994, Dick Cheney reveals the reasons why invading Baghdad and toppling Saddam Hussein wouldn't be a great idea. He also stipulates that "not very many" American soldiers' lives were worth losing to take out Saddam during the Gulf War. It's utterly bizarre to see footage of Cheney where he actually seems remotely sane and remotely interested in preserving human life. Many have theorized that for years Cheney had been wanting to invade Iraq and was just looking..

Well this is interesting. Like the writer in the snippet one has to wonder what happened to change his mind. It obviously was not 9/11 since he signed a white paper in 98 urging invasion.

Well lets see, what did cheney get up to after 1994 that would change his mind? He became CEO of haliburton in 1995... I wonder if that would start to change his mind on the situation...
In 1997 he co-started the whole PNAC thing with a specific agenda of ousting saddam... That could play a part in all this...
1n 1998 haliburton bought out Dresser and then was looking for somewhere to expand ops... Wel how about killing a few different birds with one stone he thinks...

There are so many clips of various people, bush minor, cheney the dick, Rice, Powell saying one thing and then sometimes just a few months later saying the exact opposite that they have absolutely no crediblity.
