Not every criminal is a "terrorist"

While I agree it's time to make some hard choices about illegal immigration, the crime aspect is the least of the problems caused by illegal immigration - frankly, you may not have noticed, but we have enough homegrown violent criminals that illegals are little more than a drop in the bucket.

The real problem is that all these undocumented immigrants are ripping the bottom out of the labor market in the US, and that it's our own poorest and most vulnerable who are paying the price.

And why exactly is what he said "bull?" I happen to agree with his thinking. Enough of this division bullcrap, lets start seeing people as they are, PEOPLE! The only difference between you and that illegal is place of birth. Yes, right now they are here illegally, but maybe the law should be changed.

Claiming illegals are the real terrorists is a very bold and misguided statement. The vast majority of illegals are hardworking individuals. They are not a terrorist threat. Why shouldn't they migrate here if it means the opportunity to provide a better life for their families? Thats the basis for this country, a land of the free, a land of opportunity.

here in the uk we have had to deal with this type of thing for years.

people get sick of it but nothing changes. no real explanation is given as to why millions of illegals are allowed in, its just excepted these days.

im not racist but they are starting to put a strain on our health care system (NHS) and still they let them in.

terrorism must be stopped , but on the other hand let anyone in our countries.

We have laws, and those laws need to be upheld. Employers and those little groups that put out water stations for illegals are guilty of violations of 1907 Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a).

Banks and businesses that do business with illegal aliens are guilty of money laundering by the very definition of that statute.

We can start by legislating against all free public services for illegal immigrants. No more free medical care, er visits, nothing.
They say americans are racist. You know who I have found is most angry? The legal immigrants. My friends who are legal immigrants are SEETHING.
This is the biggest insult. They worked hard, learned the language, found sponsers, and did it the right way.

My theory is this: anyone who is found here illegally gets to serve in Iraq. For every year you are here illegally,you get to serve six months in Iraq. This should start paying back all the back taxes, civil services, and economic drain.
That is what bothers me, illegals want rights, but I don't see anyone standing in line to serve in the armed forces or the national guard.

They had a segment on Fox with a short debate, i can't remember the 2, one for illegals one against....basically the opponent to illegals stated about 5 cases of illegals committing serious crimes and also gave a stat on the number incarcerated.

I think that there are many who come here to not get an honest living, but in many cases could be fugitives from Mexico and South America...the intelligence doesn't exist...but you let an American citizen do any crime here and flee, they will hunt you down and bring you to justice and if not the Dogs of the world will.

My parents had a rough time getting to Canada, too many obstacles.
That did not stop them from coming here. Illegal immigrants drain money

as long as you have illegal immigrants entering your country.

However, I disagree with the people who said that illegal immigrants

I think people coming here deserve the same opportunities our ancestors did. Not saying we should pay for illegal immigrants, but just that not all Mexicans are illegals, and not all illegals are Mexicans.

The entire time telling us about 'terrorists' who want to 'destroy our way of life' and so we must send our mothers/fathers/brothers/sisters/sons/daughters/friends to distant lands in order to 'protect our freedom'.

In the mean time all the manufacturing jobs have been shipped off to communist China and the service sector jobs are getting filled by illegal immigrants from multiple nations crossing primarily the Mexican border.

What I said had nothing to do with compassion or emotion. It comes from the view that every single person on this planet is a human being, that there really is no need for these divisions caused by borders. We should be more concerned about helping our fellow man then labeling and criminalizing their attempts for survival.

Better question....Why should we let them come here illegally when they dont even have the desire to make their own country better?
If they are so ready to up and leave their homeland then what benefit do you honestly think they are going to be to ours?

Should we have a welcome committee at the border handing out ice cream cones and puppies to every illegal that makes it across?

Borders define sovereignty, borders define culture, borders define economies. We have no duty, nor obligation to let anyone into the U.S., and if they wish to do so, they must follow our laws.

We had a revolution here, maybe it's time they start thinking that way in mexico as well.

If we cant share our humble planet, why do we dream of sharing the universe with sentient life abroad. The flood gates are open and I don't see the problem being fixed any time soon. There are too many bleeding heart Americans that are uninformed that are fighting for illegals .

Then we have the Illegals using our own system against us and getting better treatment than lower class American citizens.

We also have people trying to get our attention off the real subject like ILLEGAL immigrants to divert us to arguing about how they do the jobs we don't want and how they are not all bad or how they are human too.

Also that this was not Americas county to begin with. All these things are brought up to divert the argument from the real problem.

Bottom line is... We have laws in America and when someone breaks those laws its is refereed to as ILLEGAL. If you come here or in any other country without a pass than you are ILLEGAL plain and simple.

I am arguing it should NOT be illegal for them to come here. Borders are just a legal excuse for discrimination. What would be wrong with allowing people to settle where they wish? We allow it on a minute level with the ability to travel and live in any state we please. If one states taxes/minimum wage/etc laws dont suit us, we can move to a state where they do.

That is the privilege of being an American. Many brave men have died to give us those freedoms, allowing a deluge of people to overpopulate this nation will only cause a decline in the standard of living for all of us.
