Is Psychic stuff real?

I use to have no doubt that Psychic stuff is real, but lately I've been having doubts about that. Most videos of Psychics that I see manipulating stuff could've easily been done as an illusion. I also wonder why most so called Telekinesis users always have to have the object so close to their hand. I'm not a total disbeliever of the thing and I'm not bashing, but I just need more proof that it's real. I hear so much talk about "Psi-balls" and stuff like that, yet I've never actually seen one filmed on tape. Then there's Criss Angel who I thought was real, but is actually an illusionist. So how do we know that all these so-called Psychics aren't just illusionist? I just need more proof that all this Psychic, Telekinesis stuff works and I'm not just being fooled.

If you are having doubts than I would suggest finding out for yourself. IF you meditate frequently you will probably notice a large increase in psychic phenomena in your life.

All anyone has to do is move an object inside a plexiglas box, using scientific methodology to prove the claim, while their hands and feet are in plain sight. It's not that hard "if one has the power".

My first thought with the title of the thread was psychic reading or prediction of the future. This is an easy one to prove. Just provide the numbers in the next lottery. (Forget about breaking the psychic's ethic or oath or something else just as stupid, just provide the numbers)

Anyone can make so many predictions that one can be made to look like it was about something in the news. Specific predictions about specific events at a given time remove all doubt.

In reality, there is always precognition of events, at times. This can be somewhat weird given the event. I have experienced this, but does it make me psychic, I don't think so.

That's easy for you to ask. You're on the other side of the looking glass, so to speak. To people like myself, who've lived with what they do for long enough to get used to the idea of making objects move without touching them, the answer is obvious.

Of course some of the people out there are just illusionist's pulling the wool over your eyes, and the only psychic/psion I really know enough about to tell you either way is myself.

I just need more proof that all this Psychic, Telekinesis stuff works and I'm not just being fooled.

Then I suggest PsiPOG.

It's where I learned. If you apply yourself properly to the instructions and practice a LOT you'll find as I did that Psionics isn't something that has anything to do with illusion.

Happy learning,

Depends on what you call psychic.
If psi phenomena like precognition, telepathy or micro-PK, then many scientific tests showed that these do exists but on a very small scale.

Read Dr. Dean Radin's book "Entangled mind", for a great overview of these researches.

Go to YouTube and type in "James Randi". Watch him make a squirming mess out of alleged "psychics".

Gawd, but I love being a skeptic...

I've experienced psychic stuff myself. Being able to tell whats going to happen. Or knowing what people are thinking. Doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen. I think it happened more when I was in the ARMY. Maybe that's because I didn't use computers or TV as much. More time for thinking. I think that TV and the Internet distract you brain from any real thought that could be turned into ESP.

I watched some of that guys videos. He has some points about real frauds. But that's all. I could fake something like making toast. I could have a fake toaster, somehow do a slide of hand trick to make toast appear in the toaster. But would that prove that real toasters don't exist? No.

Just wanted to share my opinion.

My mom is very spiritual and believes in psychics.

About 10 years ago, she went to Israel to visit her sister. They went to a medium who can channel spirits from the other side.

My mom never met her, and didn't know she would be visiting this person.

When speaking with the medium, all she was asked was her name, birthday, and that's it. The medium channeled my dead grandmother. She started calling my mom in Russian, using her nickname that my grandmother used to use (The medium doesn't know any Russian).

The medium then started asking about my family, which we were all in Canada at the time. She asked about everything that was happening in our lives: (my dad's bad back and knee, the fact I was thinking of switching jobs at the time, my sister's situation with her school and fiancee, and my brother's bad ankle, as well as educational situation). My mom was answering her questions in tears, as she couldn't believe her eyes.

so, either it was my real grandmother somehow communicating from the other side, OR, somehow this medium learned Russian, knew that my mom will come see her that day, searched our entire family history, and somehow called a connection in Canada that knew all the small specific details in mine, my brother's, sister's, and dad's lives at the present time.

make your own decision.

Has any one had any experiences at all of anything strange in their lives, like some sort of power or something?

Well, to start with - you feel when somebody is watching you, you turn your head and - you were right. Somebody was watching you. I am sure that there is a kind of energy that exists that controls all this.

But pshychics? I think that 99.99% of them are fake, and the rest is dangerous to themselves and others. Just think - if you gain access to something from another dimension - how do you know who (or what) gave you that access? How do you know that it is not dangerous to use these powers?

Psychic phenomina is a natural and common good thing, we all have it in varrying forms. I beleive it is a human inheritance from times past that we have lost for unknown reasons but that is very much a part of our lives now. IMHO We are a re-evolving species and one day we will regain this awareness. It is a good thing we should embrace, as it is a trait that unites us as a species.

Resoundingly no!!

I used to have the delusion of belief in the "gift" of psychic clap trap.

I believe that the whole gig is in the delusional mind of the believer. If it were not so, then in this information age we would expect the net to be awash of evidence and it isn't.

I accept the possibility, that everything that we believe we experience could just be creations of our subconscious mind. But if you accept that there are others out there, who are able to witness your alleged "psychic abilities" then why is there no evidence for it?

Alleged psychics always come up with some nonsense, as to why they have no evidence of their gift beyond their minds illusion of it.

Time after time these charlatans get tested and fail. That's all you really need to know. Just read the nonsense of some of the posts here.

Put an object in a bell jar and move it, thats all Mr Randi wants you to do. For a million dollars that ain't hard work. Oh of course its because you can't make money from your gift.

OK then, give the money to charity. Oh but then you would say all of the negative energy would counter any psychic effects.

I believe that some people really do believe they have a gift..I did kinda once upon a time. One breakdown, a bit of treatment later I know its all bravo sierra. Belief in a gift, doesn't mean it exists. Quite often I think people are really observing a series of coincidences that reinforce the delusion of a psychic power.

Psychic stuff is real in the minds of the believers. The only use I see for it is forums like this...where rational, intelligent people like me can come for a laugh....and it keeps we loonies off the streets
