someone will just pick-up where he leaves off.

i would wonder what impacts would happen if a confirmed death was reported?
(ex: financial spurts, general optimistic outlook of americans, etc)

I would say there is a pretty good chance he is already dead. I was pretty sure of this when he wasn't brought out "captured" just before the last presidential election.

Besides, can't have him out there making any more tapes claiming he had nothing to do with 9/11 now can we?

My thoughts aswell, but I only came across this recently and thougt "what if he was dead? What would that mean to the credibility of the taliban?"

Im not sure what they would do but It begs the answer of who is covering this up if he is in fact dead?

Yes, of course he is dead. If he wasn't dead already when 9/11 happened, he died VERY shortly afterwards. Why? Simple, if he wasn't taken care of, he would have been spreading the fact around that he had nothing to do with 9/11, just like he stated shortly after 9/11. and where would that leave Bush & Co. if that got out, hmmm?

Personally, he was probobly found hiding in a cave, running for his life, beaten and haggered, not unlike Saddam was found. Except, in the case of Osama, the US could not afford to bring him in and give him a few more months of life before they pulled the plug. Osama, they had to rid themselves of as fast as possible.
