Cheney urging strikes on Iran

infowars.com

Vice President Dick Cheney several weeks ago proposed launching airstrikes at suspected training camps in Iraq run by the Quds force, a special unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to two U.S. officials who are involved in Iran policy.

This doesn't sound good at all. They say Iran is helping train and support Shiite groups in Iraq, but can we believe this? Launching airstrikes against Iran is going to come with some big consequences.

Thoughts?

We are fighting a proxy war against Iran in countries across the middle east. Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan are all direct areas where the US is essentially fighting Iranian influence wether it be politically, covertly, or with boots on the ground.

It is only a matter of time before these 2 nations fight.

What's really funny is that Cheney described the potential airstrike targets as
"suspected training camps".
Are we back to operating on hunches again? Tsk, tsk.

Bad Cheney!

Of course, you don't think we would use actual intelligence when deciding to go to war do you?

Intelligence. There's that word again... you see it everywhere!

...except the White House.

Cheney, who's long been skeptical of diplomacy with Iran, argued for military action if hard new evidence emerges of Iran's complicity in supporting anti-American forces in Iraq; for example, catching a truckload of fighters or weapons crossing into Iraq from Iran, one official said.

This statement almost seems like Cheney is anticipating something like this happening.

The two officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to talk publicly about internal government deliberations.

Gee. I wonder why.

Maybe someone's blowing a whistle that we should hear, or maybe its just more fear mongering and drum beating.
