With extremely little media coverage, presidential candidate Howard Dean has won the years first nationally held primary. The voting took place in Washington D.C. where Dean took 43% of the vote.

Al Sharpton, the political activist came in second with a strong showing in what will probably be the closest he will sniff to winning any of the other primaries. Sharpton finished with 34% and Carol Moseley Braun came in third with 12%. The reason the other leaders of the party have not had a large percentage of the vote was because they simply werent on the ballot.

Interesting. Including the 8% for Kucinich a MAJORITY of Dems (54%) did NOT vote Dean.

This should prove to the non Kool-Aid crowd that Dean can be stopped, if the Dems would just rally.

All those big shot early Dean endorsers were just that... EARLY. It's an open field people. Don't believe the media hype.

I WILL believe the backing of Gore though, hehe..
Candidacies are won and lost in the media....so yeah, you kind of have to acknowledge it...

Looks like the Dean/Clark showdown is set.... I'm just hoping they get over it and get their butts in gear on a joint ticket, before Bush trumps out Osama in chains before election day.....
