Ummo, we have an odd connection. Georges produced Eternal Sunshine with clients of mine. not sure if they were Good Machine or This Is That when the film was made but a I know a couple of the partners over there. Small world eh?

To embed a photo in the thread:

On the "options bar" (or whatever it's called) just under the main banner, click on "Member Center" (4th from the right).

In the left side column, 3rd from the top, is "Member Upload Space". Clickity click on that.

Use the "Browse" button to select the file you want to upload, then click click "Upload".

It'll then show you then html code to insert into a post.

To insert it in the post:

Highlight the html and right click on the mouse and select "copy".

Click on the 9th button along "options bar" above the text field. (First button is "H1", second is "EX", third is "B", etc.) The 9th button is the icon with the colored monitor and pallet.

Insert the html code into the appropriate field in the pop-up box, click "OK" and voila!, it's in the text field.

Sounds like a lot of steps. Nah. It's a piece of cake.

Just to chime in on this whole thing...

I love these videos. I really was excited when I first saw them, which was from an ifilm link.

After reading the interesting posts for days, the flaws finally became apparent. Besides the obvious fake gasp, which semed so real at first watch, the overhead craft noise eventually seemed fake too. It was noise from a single source, there should have been some offset noise from the other craft. Then I figured the video compression covered up what looked like a blurring effect applied around the crafts to blend them in. That was my logic anyway. Besides it was too obviously sensational, but then again why shouldn't it be?

I really like this site so far by the way!

if anyone still has any doubts about this, ummo just emailed me three tga images from the original renderer without post-process (his words, none of that makes sense to me). one of the images is of the model for the ufo.

I had to find software to view them. very cool stuff.
