I can't log into chat.

I have no clue what the problem could be. Did you make sure to delete all offline content when you deleted your Temp Internet Folder? I would do it all again......and reboot.

Do you have high-speed internet? I was having problems with my dsl being real slow a couple of weeks ago. My download speed was slower than dial-up, but my upload speed was normal.

Probably not your problem, but it has happened in the past.

I too am having the "Guest can't login now" problem.

I have over 200 posts so that shouldn't be the problem.

i still have a long way to go before i can get into the ats chat room i can't wait.It sucks that you have to post 200 times to get in they could have least made it a 100 post instead of 200 oh well i guess they have good reason for doing that but i guess it's worth the wait.

Firefox and IE should not matter when trying to get into chat, if anything OP I you might be spelling your password wrong or something? Aside from that, you should not have to sign in by typing, it should already be entered in for you if you come from ATS while logged in properly.

Disable your pop-up blocker. ATS chat loads in a different window.

Yeah there's a problem with it, I can't log in the chat either.

I do have over 200 posts and yes I'm spelling my case sensitive name and pass correctly. Yes I've tried clearing all cookies, yes I've updated my Flash software, no the popup blocker isn't the problem and yes I've tried it in both IE and Firefox.

Hey, I was wondering why we needed over 200 posts in the first place. I've been a member here for quite a while, but I'm a lurker more than anything. Can't they make it by registration date as well?

I tried going into chat and saw the message pop up Guest not logged in or something like that. Then I noticed the number of stars under the password field did not match my password. I typed in my password and then tried to login, went straight in after I clicked on a room. Apparently whatever password it saved or showed behind the ******* was incorrect for me.

By the way, there wasn't anyone in chat except possibly one person in one room.

That would seem you typed your pass wrong the first time which is probably the biggest reason people can't get in. I however am not typing mine wrong and still can not get in.

The chat room is the busiest in the evening. Anywhere from about 7pm MST to 9 or 10. Just depends on the night!

The 200 posts is just a rule so people can't just join and use the chat room. We need to prove ourselves before we get the benefits of this wonderful site.

I have all the right requirements and via Firefox OR IE7 and new flash installed i still get the window and all is says is "Connecting to server" and stays that way. Are there specific ports it uses?

It could be a slow connection. How are you connected to the net? As far as I know, it doesn't use any specific port. You can try to update whatever driver you are using to connect to the internet, and see if that works.

Also, you can try to log in and just leave the window open for a while(either until it connects, or times out) to see if that will work. I am far from being a computer expert. I just want to have people to chat with!

I can't speak for others but on my end its not connection based, I sit on the end of a 3mbit DSL connection and I'm still unable to connect. I suspect that the username errors are pointing to a back end issue that would require staff to look at the chat application's settings.

Just tried logging in now and it works. I have over 300 posts now, is that the limit now?
