Anyone living near the Deleware River will experience the disposal of some 1,600 tons of the nerve agent VX. The plan is to mix it with a corrosive
agent, water, then dump it into the river.
The strong possibility of this happening has stirred up some debate by citizens of New Jersey and Environmental groups.
"They've got a lot of nerve dumping this stuff on New Jersey," said Jeff Tittel, director of the New Jersey Sierra Club. "They're thinking about
saving money, they're not thinking about environmental or health costs."
