Extending the Presidents term?

So besides an amendment He signed a presidential directive in May that gave him the right to suspend regular government activities in the case of an emergency, and HE gets to decide what constitutes an emergency. Many people are concerned that he will use this directive to continue his presidency after it should be over.

Is there other ways to do this? Have you seen any concern of such a thing happening?

Why this absurd notion persists through nearly 40 years of American politics is beyond me, other than to say that patriotic Americans (Republicans) live in a world where principle rules, and would be the first in line to say the constitution is to be obeyed, and throw the treasonous bastard out, and political Americans (Democrats) would say whatever means justify the ends.

Diedagain, there is concern on all sides of the political aisle regarding this administration's willingness to give up their power, when the time comes.
