Britain's worst mass murder family doctor Harold Shipman that was charged with hundreds of murders hung himself in his prision cell.
Shipmans suicide was condemned by victims' relatives as act of cowardice. Harold Shipman was nicknamed "Dr. Death" after a horrific, 23-year-long
killing spree in which he murdered at least 215 of his patients.
A prison service spokesman later said "He was found dead, hanging in his cell." He said Shipman had used bed sheets tied to his cell bars to make a
noose.
Shipman was convicted in 2000 for 15 of the killings and was put and was sentenced to life in prision. Later ruling charged him with the murder of at
least 215 patients with heroin injections, making him Britain's - and one of the world's - most prolific serial killer.
