The typhoon made landfall late on Thursday, bringing winds of up to 180 km/h (110mph).

It cut power to thousands of homes and felled trees. Bullet trains from the main island, Honshu, were suspended.

This is one country that really has to put up with a lot - earthquakes, tropical storms, fanatical home grown terrorists.

I guess the GW proponents are going to label this another symptom of their case.

NOT happy about this one. If it were to hit on a monday - fine, whatever. I can drive to work. Big deal.

Should be tracking directly over me at about 8:00 Saturday Bloody Morning.

There is NO WAY I`m going to attempt flyfishing in a Typhoon.

(maybe)
