I saw a show the other day on the History Channel. It will be airing again August 9th. They claim to have found the location of the Garden of Eden. They cover several purported gardens but say they believe the real one lay in what is now the Persian Gulf. They claim that in biblical times it was a lush valley where the Tigris and Euphrates and two other rivers met. Then during the melting of the ice caps, the river that joined the four became the Persian Gulf, hence the great flood. They also discuss other cultures who have similar stories about the cradle of civilization and a great flood.

A very interesting program.
