Im 17 years old and a while ago my mum told me that i would be lucky to get a house when im older, im starting to belive her now, average house price is nearly £200,000.

Not sure what that is in US dollars, but out here in California house prices are ridiculous. We just refinanced our house. It is 1200 sq feet. 4 bedrooms, 2 bath. Nothing fancy. It was appraised at $640,000.
