shrunkensimon, here is your new thread.

THB: The drugs companies don't want to legalise drugs because they will harm profit.

PRO.
1. Marijuana would cut Anzac sales.
2. They could not produce them as well as the crims.
3. Their shareholders would go nuts.

AGAINST:
1. Yes, stomach ulcers would reduce.
2. They haven't got Tony's Secret Formula yet.
3. No, they'd be stoned.

Discuss.

Big Pharma is of course a giant influence on deciding what is accepted and what isn't. As a matter of fact many people allude that the "doctoring" business is what caused so many "witches" to be burned, the midwives were getting all the business and also the healers.

As far as marijuana goes I have read that the people that make rope and other things that hemp can produce kicked them out of the market by making it illegal. Even the crap by the roadside with no THC.

Also we can only imagine where all the money goes that is being made on the black market. Tax free money at that.

No, its getting the pharmas on side. Yes, their big political wigs have no balls, but they need a deal. They have to sell that they've been scientific, yet most of them know more about the the price of oil than its origins. Still doesn't stop them when they know they've got a 'non black market tax.' Business is business.
