US Boosts Israel's Annual Defense Aid to $30 billion

He said he and US President George W. Bush, in talks at the White House last month, agreed Israel would receive $30 billion in military aid over the next decade, averaging $3 billion a year. Current US defense aid to Israel stands at $2.4 billion a year.

I sure wish we would take care of things at home first then we can give anything that is left over out.

Opps. I guess I misread it. It is still quite a bit of money since we have so many internal domestic problems right here in the USA.

Why we give Israel money for its military in the first place is beyond me.

Israel has the 15th largest economy in the world, it's not like they can't afford
their own military.


And I'm not even going to bring up the atrocities the Israeli military has committed.


I don't mind giving money to countries for humanitarian aid, but funding another countries military,
especially with a track record like the IDF's, is an atrocity in itself especially
considering the sheer amount of poor and starving people here that that money could help.
