Spooky Scamp Has Skill For Sniffing Death

Not to be outdone by a cat, the Canine Deathwatch makes itself known

A dog from Ohio is being championed as the latest family pet with a spooky skill for predicting death.

Creepy canine Scamp can apparently tell when residents at a long-term care facility in the US state are in their final hours.

The morbid mutt camps out in their rooms and stands guard by their bedsides.

He is also said to be able to sense grief.

Another reason why we should pay attention to animals. They just know things we are closed off from.

Mmm its a bit similar to the cat story.

I wonder what is going on?

Do these animals sense something that we don't or can't sense?

Someone more spiritual than I, once said to me that our spirit self knows the physical body's time has come. This impending passing is not always communicated to the physical being, because they are not prepared to accept the end of earthly life or their physical life has taken them away from being able to perceive other realms....well something like that!!!

I have been present at a few deaths in my time and have often wondered about the almost calmness of the scene. I have always put it down to the fact that your life functions are failing and you are drifting from consciousness....like when we sleep....eyelids can be the heaviest things in the world once a deep drowsiness overcomes us....like on a long drive or flight.

But as time has gone on, I accept the possibility that the self may be readying for the transition...kind of, heard the tally of plus and minus...and an acceptance of "Oh well I have had a good innings".

Likewise, I have thought about that rambling that seems to sometimes occur prior to passing. I thought a confused mind, failing from the shutting down of systems, was merely creating a reality / delusion. I have been there when they start to talk, not to you by the side of the bed, but to something beyond you. They can be talking to lost relatives and loved ones or maybe deceased heroes / celebrities. Could it be that they are really communicating with these spirits? Do those that have passed congregate around those passing to aid the transition...maybe as guides?
Sort of a "Welcome to the company" shindig?

I am no expert and am commenting from personal experience. People who deal with death every day may see things different. But lordy lord, do I think about this stuff a lot....

I guess I will only know when it is my time to go...but I am in no rush to find out!!!

there's several sources known for some years that dogs
with their keen sense of smell (40X humans sniffers) can
detect cancers in people.

www.scienceagogo.com...
{sniffing out lund & breast cancers}

news.bbc.co.uk...
{sniff out bladder camcers}

news.nationalgeographic.com...
{sniff out cancer in general}

i know these reports are just about cancers, not general death...

but i wonder if bringing the sniffer dogs to different patients is a 'Key'
for the dog and as a result that action of bringing the canine into the presence of a patient on 'death watch' will prompt the desired response?!

thanks,

I know one thing, I would kack myself if I woke up in hospital to find that canine there looking at me...be like looking at the Grim Reaper.
