This has been going on with all political leaders lately.

But it is difficult to know if it is deliberate due to the many pictures taken on these people. It is easy to crop a shot to change its entire character.

Certainly some of them are deliberate depending on the media that decides to use them.

But again there are numerous individuals that this treatment is being given to.

I'd question whether it was the media or his handlers positioning him. Good catch though.

Considering that there are something about 10.000 photos or more from the current president George W. Bush it is just a search job to find stuff like that. Doesn't impress me, happens if somebody is photographed all over a day.(nearly).

Media always uses photos based on an editorial decision... This is what the Miami herald used today in an article about Katherine Harris.

As someone with an artistic flair, the photos of Bush on the page (mentioned at the top of this thread) are more dramatic and striking than most others. But the editors definately need to consider how those angles/compositions will be perceived. Or maybe they do... (play twilight zone music here)

My teenage daughter tells me it means
"Party on dude".
But you and I both know it's the "sign of Satan"

Lol, yeah, according to some heavy metal bands, and who can argue with them on religious matters, they're so devout and not doing anything for the money...

Those are the most common explanations for sure. Personally I don't know what "They" are using it for, which is what bothers me!

I do know that it isn't the "Peace" symbol.
I don't think they're saying "We're Number Two!"
I know it's not for "F-You", although that wouldn't be far from their true intentions.
