Inspite of, I agree with you, due to my research on how corporate American works or may work and who this conglomerate absorb small growing business and lure entrepreneurs so they can absorb them to control everything they can.

Even when the tree Amigos will still be the same people that started this very good site, they will not be the main players anymore.

Because I am a conspiracies theorist and nothing more than just a member I am going to say that ATS will never be the same depending of the agendas of the one that are supplying the money.

As everything I may be wrong but I can also be right, time will tell.

We are living in troublesome times in our nation and anything has to be taken with a lot of care specially when this board is so outspoken about politics, UFO and many other topics.

Before I comment, and continue to comment, I want to remind everyone of a post I made a few months ago. It's relevant for two reasons,
1) It was created while we were deep in the development phase of designing "The Above Network, LLC"

We have equal shares of ownership, and our company charter demands that our combined ownership never dip below majority. Investors who care not to participate in such an environment need not inquire.



The Above Network, LLC and our core passion, AboveTopSecret.com is all about the "small people." Everything we've done, and everything we're about to do, is focused on bringing broader awareness of your contributions to the compelling topics on ATS.

Our core "unique proposition" is what ATS has always been, a "User-Generated Content Ecosystem" of diverse opinions on an impossible range of topics. Expanding the ecosystem to give each of our members a larger voice is our prime directive.


We knew this announcement would likely inspire new episodes of "drama" and doubt, but throughout our history we've been very transparent and this is no time to change. Deals like this take time, and we've been crafting business plans and strategies since December of 2006... and we've been in discussions with our ultimate investors since late March. If you've noticed any "policy changes" in that time that might appear to be catered to the type of people you fear being involved with ATS... let me know! 'cause... I can't think of any.

I hope you didnt take my post in an offencive manner. I think by now you should know that most ATSers have a health dose of paranoia, and even though i havent been here long, i like ATS the way it is and would hate to see its content and membership comercialized.


I think alot of the more "hardcore" ATS member feel the same way. Though none of us are offered any serious cash for our posts or stake in ATS. Good on you guys for sticking to your guns!

Well it honestly makes me kind of sad to hear that some corporate entity is going to be influencing things here. But being a realist I am very happy for the staff as they have certainly worked to earn that position. So congrats to you all for your hard work and the job well done, you've assuredly earned it IMHO.

congratulations...its nice to see and kinda inspirational to see people move into the big leagues since im in the infant stages developing a community based project site. as a side note, every time i see skeptic overloard's pic i keep thinking its tony soprano.
