Heightened security checks at airports could create a potential new target for terrorists, MPs have warned.

A report by the Commons transport select committee said queues of hundreds of passengers in cramped spaces could become a security hazard.

About time someones worked out that making massive queues at airports will be a security hazard. Well obviously, it's not like we don't see news of people in queues being bombed every day in Iraq. So making massive queues in an airport is going to be a fairly large problem if they get an opportunity to bomb those queues.

They spend all that time worrying about you in the air, then work out they are endangering you on the ground. Someone worked this out last october too:

"Your bag is not searched when you go in. You are allowed to take 23 kilograms of baggage with you - 23kg of ammonium nitrate mix would be very sufficient to make a good impact.
