Well, as a German myself let me reply to this with the words of a great (if not the greatest) american Author, Thomas Pynchon
"What passes is a truth so terrible that history--at best a conspiracy, not always among gentlemen, to defraud--will never admit it. The truth will be repressed or in ages of particular elegance be disguised as something else" (Gravity's Rainbow)

But the sad truth is, the average 'man on the street' wheter he is german or american or whatever is not interested in what's going on behind the scenes and much less capable of understanding the mechanisms of power and deception.
This is true for the normal everyday Politics and even more for the great things going on beyond the scenes in media propaganda and the hidden agendas of power politics.

Wait, how in the hell does forming a North American Union form more countries? Exactly what kind of logic are you using?

Well, I wouldn't be surprised to see America split if a NAU is developed. States in the southern United States would never stand for such a move. There will be trouble, and perhaps a civil war if there is a NAU developed.

While I understand the purpose of the NAU, it's essentially an effort to challenge the EU.... However, I think it such a move will be detrimental for the American citizen while other portions benefit from the hard work of Americans...

This in fact WOULD perfectly set up the same conditions here as in pre WWII germany making a desperate people eager for any monster promising them an end to their misery.God help us.

Well, certainly... Naturally the firebrand won't initially appear to be a monster. Hell, the first nine years of Hitlers' reign, the world was singing his praises. He was the best thing to ever come along... Of course, there are different ways of looking at Hitler and what he did, but I am not going to get into that here;it is beyond the scope of this thread.

People, particularly here in America, don't keep up with what's going on because they think it doesn't effect them. How little do they know. One day they will see, but by then, it will be much to late because the damage will have been done.

Hitler said something that I view as very true... I am paraphrasing here. He basically said that it's fortunate for political leaders that the masses do not think. How profound!!

The Bigger the Lie, the More the People will Believe it" - Adolf Hitler.

Which is , alas, the truth.

Speaker I have discussed this topic many times myself, what many Americans dont realise is that the US is well on the way to a Nazi state.

Americans think they are superior to all others, their military can beat anyone else, the world should be the American way. America's global interests are of more importance than anyone else. Hitler gave his people someone to blame, the Jews, Bush and co blame the Muslims, American citizens are now seen as potential terrorists.

The attitude your either with us or with the enemy, a statement which is trotted out from Bush to a man on the street when anyone challenges the Goverment or its actions.

From Waco to 9/11 the American Goverment has been killing its own people and got away with it, Patriot, wire taps, anyone labelled a terrosist has no rights and the icing on the cake PNAC.

When you want to rule the world the first thing you have to do is control your own people and that is exactly what is happening. The US see's the likes of Russia, China and even the EU as a threat to its further expansion.

How long will it be before the draft is reinstated and those camps start filling up with those unpatriotic types.
If you can try and get hold of a book called The Nazis a Warning From History, the parallels between what happened to Germany and whats happen to the US now is truly scary.

You know, Waco was something that really opened my eyes to the truth... I took it personally, not only because I met Koresh personally a couple of times when I was about thirteen, but because I felt that the whole event was a travesty against a group of American citizens. It seems to me that everything has went to # since then, not only in the states, but around the world...

However, back to the topic at hand... You mentioned how it is possible that many Americans will eventually be labeled terrorists, I think it will eventually happen. There will eventually be a "domestic" terror attack and the government will demonize the militias in this country. After all, they are really all that stand between American citizens and an out of control government.

Certainly, which is exactly the point of this entire thread.

I’d like to point out that the left-right political paradigm being bandied about in this thread (and most everywhere) is only a small part of the true political spectrum. The correct political spectrum has as its boundaries the largely theoretical states of total government control on the left, and anarchy on the right. Both Communism and Fascism are authoritarian and well left of center, the main differences being the labels attached. In Communism or Socialism, the government appears to control things, but of course the people with the most money always control things. In Fascism they’re just a little more out from behind the curtain.

Mussolini said that Fascism would be better called Corporatism, as it is a melding of government and corporate power. I can’t imagine a better description of what we now have in the USA. The ‘representatives’ now barely even make a show of doing the will of the people. A controlled media convinces the people that whatever the government does is really what the people want, and what is best for them. All of the legislation and ‘executive orders’ necessary to complete the tyranny have been signed, and it seems to me that all that’s wanting is a catalyzing event, another 911, only I think this time it will be much worse. Just as Germany had to be torn down and rebuilt for a united Europe to exist, the USA must be torn down and rebuilt for a one world government to exist. It’s coming folks, and I’m afraid they won’t wait much longer.

Also still even Fascism is unrealistic the communist threat is over and the primary reason Fascism happened in Italy under Mussolini, Spain under Franco, Greece under Metaxas, and Chile under Pinochet was fear of Communism.

Am I mistaken or are you saying that communism is over? Has anyone told China? They only have about 1/4 of the planet's population.

How do you figure? Both have different economical structures, so unless your ignoring the economical content of the systems, I think your mistaken.

Nazification of America? no.

A raise of fascism, yes. It's very likely that not only America, but the Western world will fall into fascist like regime's. The break down of society and the lack of political engagement are the first signs, especially when voters start turning to radical flanks.

But of course, economic breakdown or struggle is the main factor.

Somehow, I don't think it will ever come to that. If the U.S. sat back and did nothing like we are doing now, then sure. But there will come a point when enough is enough and the people will start a revolution. They aren't going to sit back and be led into detention camps without a revolt. Now if the government somehow rescinded the 2nd amendment, then it's a strong possibility, but people aren't going to turn in their firearms at the nearest drop-off depot.
