New York Post

July 24, 2007 -- ALBANY - Gov. Spitzer suspended a top aide and reassigned another yesterday after Attorney General Andrew Cuomo released a bombshell report concluding they conspired with the State Police to damage Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno by cooking up a plot claiming he misused state aircraft.

Spitzer, who had recently insisted that neither his staff nor the State Police had acted improperly, said communications director Darren Dopp was suspended without pay for an "indefinite period" of at least 30 days.

William Howard, the governor's assistant secretary for homeland security, will be reassigned to a position outside of the governor's staff.

This sounds almost like a mini-Watergate. Our governor used state police and taxpayer's money to try to dig up dirt (or even manufacture it) against a political enemy from the opposing party.

What did he know and when did he know it?

Why isn't this being discussed more?

Spitzer is turning out to be more and more of a crook and nutcase everyday. Im not surprised at all this happened. He seems to think that he is a dictator and on the first day in office he supposedly said something like "f--k the legislature".
