This government calculator for your household/individual carbon footprint is really worth a look.
It may only apply to U.K. residents but well worth the time invested to see how you compare to the national average.
Have a go and post your results on this forum.
Home heating 3.91 tonnes/year
Appliances 0.88 tonnes/year
Vehicles & Travel 0.55 tonnes/year

Total Co2 result 5.33 tonnes/year.
National average figures 10.22 tonnes.

My results are based on a household calculation

They are missing 0.2 tonnes per person for breathing.

I'd calculate it and see what it says, but you forgot to add the link to your post.


Personally I think BPs calculator is the best, since it does'nt say that you produce twice
the average when you basically put nothing in and it's not overly conservative
and says stuff like driving an SUV is Ok for the environment.
