Chavez Warns Critical Foreigners Will Be Expelled

www.cnn.com

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- President Hugo Chavez has said that foreigners who publicly criticize him or his government while visiting Venezuela will be expelled from the country.

Chavez on Sunday ordered officials to monitor closely statements made by international figures during their visits to Venezuela -- and deport any outspoken critics.

"How long are we going to allow a person -- from any country in the world -- to come to our own house to say there's a dictatorship here,

First he silenced the MSM. Now he is deporting visitors that critcize the way he does things. Usually, the visitors go, then the MSM is silenced, but whichever way you look at it, Hugo Chavez is well on his way to establishing a dictatorship in Venezuela.

Yet he comes to U.S. soil and calls our president the devil in front of the entire United Nations General Assembly?

I know some people will still find a way to defend him though.

Even though I generally like Hugo Chavez, I do think that this is not a good thing to do,
not only from an ethical standpoint, but from an image viewpoint as well, since it does'nt
exactly paint him in a good light.

Now that said, I do understand where he's coming from with this, but I don't approve of it.

If you knew the lies about MSM you would not talk like that at all about Chavez. He is doing more for Venezuela and South America than any other President. He is listening to the people and he is giving them a decent life. Sorry if he raised the royalties from 1% to 30% on oil stolen by the US from Venezuelan soil (now its 100% Venezuelan). The MSM have engaged in criminal activities for a long time in Venezuela.
Watch this documentary and you will be shocked.

He was nice enough not to imprison all of them after the coup d'etat. He is actually a little to democratic, the only people that are pissed at him are the rich and the old workers of PDVSA that used to get the biggest cut from US oil companies directly into their pockets.
There should be a Chavez in every country in the world at least SATAN would not be allowed to go free to murder innocents victims.

Theres a difference between expelling people who are critical of the leader, and arresting and putting them in Gitmo for terrorism.

In reality, this administration has yet to go expelled people who are critical of its policies, while Chavez will expelled you even saying just one bad word of him.

Spoken like a true propaganda agent would do it.

Obviously many do not agree with you since a coup was staged against him in 2002 by those that did not like him.

Actually Chavez is within his right to stop any foreign groups from trying to destroy his government.

It seems that he has not gotten over the last coup orchestrated with the blessing of the US.

He truly feels that Bush is after him.

It was mainly a coup d'etat orchestrated by the MSM and the CIA if you watched the documentary I posted you would understand.

The propaganda came actually from MSM. I would personaly forbid to watch every single commercial network station until you are at least 24.
Its amazing how they brainwash people.

I agree, but he has very good reasons why to feel that way, governments that goes against the powers of the world do not have a good ending and their fate depend on the ones that had more power than them.

No offense but when combining your two posts I have come to the conclusion you are just as parnoid as Hugo is. How on earth do you expect people to deny ignorance if you do not allow them watch to the media???

Let me guess you do not want to deny ignorance you want to promote it or it sure appears that way to me

How is CNN bad?

They are fair and balanced, have shows hosted by and focused on both left and right,
are pretty neutral when they present the news and they have been some of the biggest
promoters of democracy, that is by getting people the truth and supporting a
great deal of debates during presidential voting.

I understand where you're coming from with the comment that shots has criticized
you about, but even I have to admit that it's a bit extreme.
But hey, we're all welcome to our own opinions.

He criticized the US government out of the UN as well such as the time he was giving cheap oil to some poor neighborhood areas.

The sad thing is, if the US government did the same thing, you would say the US is a dictatorship and then hundreds of others on here would be chanting NWO.
