I have a picture of a UFO flying over my sister's house

Speckles occur naturally when zooming in on photos. What I think my evidence shows is that the speckles of the sky background should match the background directly surrounding the craft. The backgrounds are different that is why I believe it is fake. Also the boundaries between the speckles and the rest of the sky have straight lines defining them.

The thing is, why would you have to fake such a probable thing? It looks like a simple B-2 bomber or one of the new U.S drones. I'm not saying that's enough cause to go ahead and say it's not a fraud but it's something to think about.

EXIF data is pretty much worthless, they're the most unreliable source. Anybody can modify them, especially if you're interested in creating a hoax, so, don't take that as any proof one way or the other.

I'm thinking that if I was going to hoax this forum and go to the trouble of inserting one image into another, I would find a more outlandish and suitable image than a b2. It was the first thing I checked when I saw the submitted image, I looked right away for signs of image manipulation but missed the square outline focusing instead on the fact that many parts of this image have that speckling effect where the house and trees give way to the sky. So for what it's worth, I'm going with the kite at this point but still tinkering with the manipulation theory.

Yeh it reminds me of a Deathglider, or an F-302.

However, Upon a little manipulation of the levels in PS I come to this

The SQUARE clearly became more defined so I'm leaning again to manipulation hoax

minkmouse, how did you do that? I can't seem to duplicate your adjustments.

I don't fully understand the reason for the two square outlines maybe someone else can address that?

In Photoshop, open levels and bring the top slider on the left most of the way towards the right side and you should get it. Or you could open brightness contrast and push the contrast full up and get the same effect.

May have no bearing on this but ya never kno, eh? May show intent or play into the OP's character....

Can you tell us why he was banned LM os SG?
Can ExcitableBoy tell us why he used 'Zabigly' name on his photobucket account?
Something smells very fishy now!

WHAT A TALENTED SET OF MEMBERS! I think this hoax was identified
in record time. Now what are we going to do about the hoaxer? Give
him a chance to explain things? I love that part and cross exams that
follow. hehe.

This is the rooftop's edge using the same brightness/contrast adjustments used by AllSeeingI. The same square speckling occurs.

I'm not at all convinced that the original photo was PhotoShopped.

Ditto Tuning Spork...I see the same so at this point nothing has been proven to suggest this is a hoak forcing me to take back my original claim. If you push the whole image in this way you get squares all over. I will try some different processing to see though at this point the image looks legit so it's back to the kite theory.

Edit

I'm now convinced that the squares in question are nothing more than compression artifacts I would have seen a lot sooner where I not totally zoomed in on the object in question. I believe this image to be legit and my apologies to the OP for my having jumped the gun.

UNLESS THE ROOF WAS PHOTOSHOPPED TOO

If it's an intentional hoax, man what a waste of an account.
I believe it's not intentional, and that it's still questionable as to what it is.
We need more descriptions as to how it flew off, etc.

Kites dont fly off at fast speeds of course.
My understanding is that b2 bombers dont 'hover'. Especially for no apparent reason in a residential area.

I myself believe it is a fast flying crow. I've seen this same picture in my camera of the sky. MY GUESS BLACK CROW.

Personally, I think it's just dust on the camera lens. I highly doubt it is a B-2 as the shape of the wing is slightly distorted... and it is more probable that it's just dirt.

Looks like a kite being flown in the next garden to me,with the wind drag resulting in the fabric ruffling up the edges in flight

Of course thats just going by the picture alone,i am sure the photo taker would have noticed a kite.It certainly isnt a bird

thanks for posting it
