Audition and Evil Dead 2 are probably my favourites...

Maximum Overdrive really scared me as a kid. I still love the movie though, lol!

I also like the Nightmare on Elm St. series, and anything even remotely zombie related still scares me to this day.

I've got to agree here, Evil Dead 2 is the greatest horror movie ever! Most people have never heard of it, but it's definatly worth a watch.

For me...

Probably the ORIGINAL The Shining. You know the one with Jack Nicholson in it? I have so many "favorite" horror movies that it's hard for me to say...

The Ring would probably be a close second...

The Entity was probably the scariest movie I ever seen. Maybe it was just because it was supposedly based on a true story... It is also on my favorite's list. I have a lot of "favorite" horror movies.

Omen trilogy i saw when i was young. Had a big effect on me, and just think, stuff like the spiritual stuff in those films, may come to life in our lifetimes, or near future.

I agree about the two saying Evil Dead 2 was a good horror. It was more of a comedy to me but it is a beastly (awesome) movie. If you have never heard of, or seen, Evil Dead 2 or 3 I suggest you do. The first one is kinda lame in my opinion. Bruce Cambell rules. Sorry if I spelt his name wrong and feel free to correct me. I'm not good with names.

I really don't like it when they try to mix comedy with horror. To me, it ruins the genre. Horror is not supposed to be funny.

I also loved the "Phantasm" series of movies; The Tall Man really creeps me out, big time!

Another one of my favorites is "Jeepers Creepers". Man, that is one hellacious flick. Scared the soup right out of me.

But my all-time favorite horror movie has got to be, "The Exorcist".
Definitely not as scary as the book but it'll still leave you wanting to leave the light on when you go to bed.

Blair Witch
Pet Sematary (that's the right spelling btw) - Fred Gwynne is so good in this.
Jacob's Ladder - I'm surprised how many people I ask who haven't seen this. It's scary as hell and Tim Robbins nails the lead.
Ichi the Killer - Crazy, cool, ridiculously violent
The Haunting (1963 original) - best ghost flick ever
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1976 remake) - is this sci-fi or horror?

Speaking of Body Snatchers, I'm looking forward to the re-remake with Nicole Kidman coming out next week.

Yeah, I've seen it. For some reason, Silent Hill reminded me of it. The first time I ever watched Jacob's Ladder I liked it, but, it's not something I'd watch repeatedly.
