I picked up a copy of Infernal yesterday and remembered hearing that it was one of the first games to supportt the physx card card. Ive only played threw the first level as it was late when i got home but the game played pretty flawless on ultra high settings (and i dont have the physx card or all of the preferred specs (i just dont have duo core 3.0ghz processor)

I know the purpose of the card is to take some of the load of the CPU and GPU by doing all the physics calculations, but if the game already runs pretty flawless on high settings, is an extra card (generating more heat) really necessary? Do you think the card will be needed for upcommings games like UT2007, Huxley, Left4Dead, or any othe rfuture game?

Does anyone have the card and if so how does it boost your overall game preformance and experiance?

Edit to add: For those that dont know:
Ageia Physx Card

Second edit for correction: Infernal wasnt one of the first, its just one of the newest games.
