edition.cnn.com...

In my opinion, being that these are purported to be from the war with Iraq, they aren't really the smoking gun Bush is looking for.

from the horses mouth, CNN
""Most were wrapped in plastic bags, and some were leaking," Kimmitt said. "

yeah this really points to a well-maintained, well-funded, and proliferated program.

not to mention they are mortars @ 120mm which would pose no geopolitical threat.

give it up already. iraq isn't that big of a country. if they had WMD, it would have been found already... and not in the form of centrifugal tubes, but actual bonafide rockets

Uh, Iraq is a humungous country. I'll put it this way.

Go to the state of California. You've been told that weapons are hidden somewhere. Go find them.

It's a big country ib a big desert. You bury something out there, it will take a LONG time to find it. Especially if most of it is in Syria

What are they doing? Digging random holes everywhere?

I'll admit that there are obvious places to hide weapons. Which means that any smart man will go bury them somewhere in the middle of the god-forsaken desert. So it might have to come to that. If there are any WMDs, they may be very hard to find.

Hell, 10% of Iraq's air force was hidden beneath an AIRPORT, and we didn't find it until August.

As a GIS specialist who just made a decent map of Iraq last night, I can tell ya that geographically, its a big country. We have threads on here with people saying they have fired so many DU rounds over there, they'll never be able to find them all and then in the next breath say, "its not that big, any WMDs would have been found by now." Look, your not over there and neither am I so you have a pigeon holed view of the process. There are likely weaponry that will never be unearthed thats only tie might be a set of Lat/Longs,depth and a non specific short description and likely some of those were only in the brains of people who have met their maker already.

What I'm saying is that its easy to sit in starbucks sipping lattes and supervise the hunt for WMDs but its likely a very different ball game actually doing it. Know the damn difference!
