How about we just adopt a Finnish system and use a gender neutral word? I suggest hir.

"Sexual identity" or "gender"? These could possibly two very different things. Next thing you know we'd need a "woman trapped in a man's body" identifier.

Way too confusing. Just refer to everyone as "bud".

i am for this petition. i am sick and tired of mistaking people for a him or a her when they are the opposite sex. personally i am a 12 year-old male. if you have a problem with that too bad I'm staying on ATS.

"the opposite sex" is when i mistake a Male for a Female or vice-versa.

Yes please. I know I maybe should have picked a feminine username, but jeez. Even when I use a gender-neutral username I'm mistaken for a guy.

I'm a girl, by the way. I just go by Nathan -- long story.
