This is a really neat powerpoint! The Roadrunners are one of the major groups in the history of Groom Lake. The 1129th Special Activities Squdron was
created by the CIA to fly thir spy planes at Goom Lake. Intersting is that the Roadrunners were the only trup operation unit ever to use the base. All
the other squdrons that are known of, were test units.
Nice presentation. What really grabbed my attention was the one brief shot of the "nuclear rocket engine for a manned flight to Mars". NASA have
only recently started talking about this, does it mean that the idea was moth-balled, or that they've had this capability since the late sixties? Is
NASA the only agency involved, because I'd never heard of any NASA kit being tested at Groom Lake.
The next reunion of about 200 to 250 former Area 51 employees will be held this coming October 1 - 4, 2007 at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino in Las
Vegas, Nevada.
