I was getting sick of Congress doing nothing but talk about ending the war.

It's about time they did something, and end the corruption in the White House once and for all.

Dear Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi,

The democrats in Congress were elected by the American people to end the war in Iraq, and end the corruption in the White House. So far you have done neither. The invasion of Iraq was based on lies, and there is no reason to continue to occupy the country. Instead of ending the war, you have allowed the the President to send over 20,000 more troops to Iraq, putting 20,000 more lives in the middle of a civil war.

The President has declared that he is above the law, and the current administration is refusing to answer subpoenas or comply with investigations. This alone should be grounds for impeachment. Instead, Congress has done nothing.

Congress was elected by the American people, to represent the American people.

As the Speaker of the House of Representatives, it is your job to follow the will of U.S. citizens, and stand by the people that elected you.

Thats a good letter. Doubt anything will come from it though. You might not even get a response either. I'm still waiting replies from when I asked about the NAU and other things of that nature.

I rarely get replies when I write to congress, but maybe if enough people started writing, they would actually do something.

Even if it does nothing, at least I'm trying.

Edit: How long ago did you write about the NAU?

Sometimes I don't get replies for one or two months.

You keep trying..there are number of spots on the internet where you sign petitions that are faxed free..this has very good impact..Thats how I did on the internet on a number of issues...every letter or petition matters. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil

Thank you for sending that letter.

I can only hope you receive a reply that is not a form letter and is acknowledged by her.

Let us know.

The Congress really can't end the war as it is, and even the things they can do,
the Democrats can't get passed.

This is for two simple reasons;
1. While the Democrats have a major majority in the House, they only have a slight
majority in the Senate, and because of that the Republicans can successfully block bills.
2. The president will veto anything like that and they don't have the votes to overrule a veto.

All in all the Democrats can't do anything right this second and really are trying their best.
I'm satisfied with the way things are going with them myself.
